Sounding a bit like Depeche Mode with this hit, Mad World was Tears For Fears breakthrough hit and reached number 3 in the UK Charts in 1982.
Tears For Fears went on to have a number of excellent hits (Change and Sowing The Seeds Of Love my personal two favourites) and are one of my most cherished UK bands.
